Character

Jesus,
I know the most important thing,
is not my comfort,
is not my career,
But my character.

Test me that I may be proven.
Protect me that I may not fall.
Keep me from the pit of destruction.

Prove me.
Let the fire come.
Burn the dross away.

May all who see - rejoice.
May all who watch - glorify You.
May all who wonder - be convinced.

Forgive Us

Jesus, Forgive us for worshiping our acts of worship.
Forgive us for consuming the sacrifice we are bringing to you.
Forgive us for bowing to the idol of success.
Forgive us for idolizing charismatic leaders who have no character.
Forgive us for serving self rather than others.
Forgive us for for our lack of accountable relationships.
Forgive us for acting as if others do not count is our salvation journey.
Forgive us for remaining in the boxes of rules instead of the freedom of relationships.
Forgive us for living in legalism and license instead of love.
Forgive us for making lifestyle choices the litmus test for being part of the Family.
Forgive us for preaching grace and mercy and living judgment and criticism.
Forgive us Lord, Forgive us.....
